Hilary, I know, right?? I can actually see my food after I eat it too, so I think I would totally realize that a baby is in there.

Some women get really upset when a child-free-by-choice woman discusses her viewpoint. My doctor, who is wonderful, refused to even discuss the concept of tubal ligation (granted, I was 24 when I brought it up). IUDs sound painful in general, but I hear they're completely convenient. Congrats on dodging that bullet, and thanks for migrating to the new blog with me!

Seriously? How is it possible to carry a baby to term and not know? Nor know your girlfriend was pregnant? How big was this baby? 5 oz? I eat a cheeseburger and i see it!

I think you may appreciate what happened to me. Like you, babies were never in my plan. A few years ago I had an IUD put in. My regular doctor wasn't available so another one (who was pregnant) put it in. Don't think she appreciated my answer about being done with kids before I started. She practically killed me putting it in, and then a few weeks later after doing the routine sonogram I learned it was put in wrong. I was possitive that I got pregnant in that time. I was dying.... fortunately I wasn't - and my real doctor put in the replacement....(pain free)
