I have a daily commute downtown and have this internal conversation every day. There are at least 20-30 cyclists and pedestrians that I legitimately weigh the pros and cons on what would happen if I gently tapped them with my Mini Cooper. Unfortunately the cons usually outweigh the pros. But man, on a bad day they better watch out!

I am constantly seeing people walking totally oblivious to their surroundings because they are so focused on texting / emails. i have almost killed a few of these people… I love your hierarchy – I couldn’t agree more… well I couldn’t have.

Until the parking garage of my office collapsed. In February. And it is still not fixed (although they swore it would only be 6 weeks). We now have to park across the street, by a Macy’s. The road we cross is 6 lanes. It takes about 10 minutes after you press the stupid crossing button for the lights to align perfectly. And when they do you have 16 seconds to run across the street. Needless to say I have become one of the people I hated and have almost gotten killed more times than I can count…
